Mac Jensen

Mr. Jensen is a Senior Advisor at Post Oak Energy Capital where he has served as transition advisor to a Delaware portfolio company and as Chief Financial Officer for three Eagleford portfolio companies in addition to general advisory and business development efforts.

Prior to joining Post Oak, Mr. Jensen was Senior Vice President – Business Development of EPL Oil & Gas, Inc. from 2010 until its sale with the responsibility for strategy, acquisitions and capital formation. His reports also included the land, legal and risk management functions of the GOM producer and he was a key participant in investor relations. Mr. Jensen led the selection, diligence, valuation, negotiation and funding of $1 billion in acquisitions tripling reserves and production, and transforming the asset base over a four-year period. During his tenure, enterprise value grew from $500 million to $2.3 billion upon exit and  over $1 billion in equity value was created for shareholders.

Mr. Jensen previously served as a principal at Capital C Energy where he originated the acquisition and served as Senior Vice President of its wholly owned subsidiary, Belden & Blake, which held operating interests in oil and gas properties and related gathering, transportation and processing assets in Appalachia and Michigan. He also served as an investment banker to the energy industry for approximately twenty years in various capacities including managing director for firms including FBR, CIBC and RBC. Mr. Jensen executed numerous equity offerings, mergers & acquisitions and recapitalizations on behalf of his clients. He began his career in the management consulting practice of Touche Ross & Co.

Mr. Jensen received an M.B.A. from the University of Kansas and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Tulsa.
