Ryan F. Walsh

Mr. Walsh is a Director of Post Oak Energy Capital where he serves on the board of directors for a number of the firm’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Post Oak, Mr. Walsh spent his career in private equity as an Associate at Quantum Energy Partners, an energy-focused private equity firm with $19 Billion under management where he focused on financial modeling, due diligence, structuring, execution and monitoring of portfolio companies as well as new investments across all sectors of the energy landscape, with a particular focus on exploration and production.  Mr. Walsh also worked in a similar capacity at The CapStreet Group, a middle market private equity firm based in Houston where he focused on energy and industrial opportunities.  Previously, Mr. Walsh was a Senior Analyst at Merrill Lynch Investment Bank in the Global Energy Group where he worked across all energy sectors.

Mr. Walsh received a M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Rice University in both Economics and Managerial Studies where he graduated with honors and was captain of the men’s track and field team.
