Ryan L. Sauer

Mr. Sauer is a Senior Advisor for Post Oak Energy Capital.

Prior to joining Post Oak, Mr. Sauer was a Managing Director for Kayne Anderson (an alternative investment firm with ~$35 billion of assets under management) on the Energy Private Equity team.  Mr. Sauer served as an investment committee member and focused on opportunity sourcing, deal analysis and structuring, transaction negotiation, portfolio monitoring, and client relations for the strategy.

Previously, Mr. Sauer also served as a senior management member of GulfTex Energy, a private upstream independent, and started his career at Wells Fargo.  At GulfTex, Mr. Sauer focused on investments, capital raising, and corporate strategy.  At Wells Fargo, Mr. Sauer spent nearly eight years, starting as an analyst in the debt capital markets group before joining Wells Fargo Energy Capital where he focused on structured debt and equity investments in midstream and upstream sectors of energy.

Mr. Sauer earned a M.B.A. from the Jones Graduate School of Business of Rice University and a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University.
