Ms. Thomson is the Business Office Manager of Post Oak Energy Capital.
Prior to joining Post Oak, Ms. Thomson was the Accounting Manager for Lengston Corporation. Ms. Thomson handled all accounting duties for Lengston, including all interactions with clients and temporary staffing. Ms. Thomson was responsible for internal auditing, journal entries, monthly financial statements, account analysis, tax returns, accounts payable, payroll, cash management and the revenue/billing cycle.
Before that, Ms. Thomson was the Director of Operations for Scientific Evidence, Inc. Scientific Evidence, Inc. was a scientific/legal consulting firm working in pharmaceutical and toxic tort litigation. Ms. Thomson analyzed internal processes, recommended and implemented procedural or policy changes to improve operations. She also served as project manager for all aspects of continuing education/CLE seminars put on by the company. Ms. Thomson met with clients and other legal professionals to discuss case details and completed case research via LexisNexis and Westlaw databases. She corresponded daily with experts and attorneys and acted as the point of contact for all incoming expert witness requests. Additionally, she organized legal memoranda and client correspondence.
Ms. Thomson received a B.S. in Legal Studies from University of Houston, Clear Lake.
